Diary #10: Workshop in Toledo

Since we did not have to cover many miles, today we treated ourselves to a late wakeup. We eventually went back to Yark, where the Willys was already in the capable hands of Dan, who had gone as far as printing out the wiring diagram and studying it. One by one a few gremlins were hunted down, from a faulty turn indicator switch to bulbs blown by vibrations, all the way to the generator producing 9 volt rather than 6! Now the electricals are OK, but the car starts less easily, particularly when the engine is hot. The team split in the afternoon. Gregory and Livia went to visit the Alegis in East Lansing (Michigan) and Vittorio drove to downtown Toledo to witness its post-industrial scene.
